Throughout the Connectional AME Church every conference (throughout the world) and its respective churches hold a yearly business/church meeting called "The Annual Conference." The New England Annual Conference, representing 23 churches in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut are holding their Annual Conference series from April 8th through April 12th at Bethel AME Church in Norwalk, Connecticut.
I am a member of Bethel AME Church - Boston.
During the week each church delivers it's annual report of activities, services and souls saved throughout year. The New England Conference Branch Women's Missionary Society (NECB-WMS) held its meetings on Tuesday April 8th and elected 5 delegates and 3 alternates to the Missionary Quadrennial that will be held in 2015 in Indianapolis, Indiana. I am the 2nd Vice President for NECB WMS and a member of the Christiana R. Gray WMS at Bethel-Boston.
My grandchildren are performing with their church (Bethel AME Bloomfield, Connecticut) on Friday night during Youth Night. They will also participate in the YPD (Young Peoples Division) session that will be held during the closing day (April 12th) during the conference.
