Throughout the Connectional AME Church every conference (throughout the world) and its respective churches hold a yearly business/church meeting called "The Annual Conference." The New England Annual Conference, representing 23 churches in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut are holding their Annual Conference series from March 29th through April 3rd at Bethel AME Church in Bloomfield, Connecticut.
I am a member of Bethel AME Church - Boston.
During the week each church delivers its annual report of activities, services and souls saved throughout year. The New England Conference Branch Women's Missionary Society (NECB-WMS) held its "Annual Day" on Wednesday March 30th and completed it preparation to the upcoming Bicentennial/General Conference that will be held in Philadelphia. I am the 2nd Vice President for NECB WMS and a member of the Christiana R. Gray WMS at Bethel-Boston.
My grandchildren performed with their church, Bethel - Bloomfield on Friday night during Youth Night. They also participated in the YPD (Young Peoples Division) session that was held on Saturday April 2nd.
This was the last Annual Conference that Presiding Elder Herbert L. Eddy served our conference prior to his retirement. He and his lovely wife, Rev. Amelia Eddy, have served the Boston Hartford District for more than 30 years.
