![]() Members and Friends of the Christiana R. Gray Women's Missionary Society of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church (Boston) traveled on an extraordinary 7 day journey to Southern India on February 14-21, 2015.
This trip was educational, inspirational and spirit filled trip and provided a wonderful opportunity 37 women to learn about the rich history of India from the people who know it from the inside out. They stayed in Chennai, India's newest 5 Star Deluxe Hotel Resort, the Leela Palace, an ocean front hotel on the Bay of Bengal. More than a "Mission Trip" We visited some of the 105 AME Churches in India and also took in some of the activities of the newest Educational Centers of AME India. There are 25 of them throughout India, and in 2014 Bethel's Missionary Society voted to support one of the Educational Centers, demonstrating their love and commitment to children around the world. Mission Minded and More. It was an opportunity to connect cross culturally while enjoying India at the same time! |
